Cairngorms National Park

The Cairngorms National Park, located in North East Scotland is Britain’s largest National Park. It was established in 2003.  Here are some things that make the Cairngorms the place to visit:

  • Britain’s highest and biggest mountain range which includes five of the six highest summits in the UK
  • Big native Scots pine forests
  • Beautiful rivers and lochs
  • Lots of wildlife
  • Moorland & farmland
  • Lots to see and do . . . something for everyone (a great place for hillwalking, climbing, skiing, snowboarding, exploring nature)

Here's what people say about us

  • The Mill is a special place to spend time. It is comfortable and luxurious, the kitchen is very well-equipped, Megan and Sean and their family are ready to help you with anything you need, or suggest places to see. We could order food delivered weekly or catch the fish monger on his way by on a Thursday for fresh fish.

It is very close to Glenlivet and many stops along the whiskey trail. It is within the Cairngorm’s national Park so outdoor adventuring was easy. There are also many walking trails just outside the house. We took day trips to tons of towns all around including Findhorn, Elgin, Aberlour, Inverness, Aberdeen, and always looked forward to coming “home”.
