Let's see what our visitors say
The Mill is so beautiful! Stone walls, wrought iron, beautiful views… We loved the kitchen! It had every item we needed to really enjoy preparing our meals. Our favorite times at the Mill were returning from nearby salmon fishing and having a wee dram while sitting with the wood fire going.David B
From getting up early, making coffee, and having 5-6 cows looking right in the large kitchen window, to watching sheep dogs drive sheep from the patio…The Mill is quite an experience.
This is seriously better than just a home-away-from-home. This house is gorgeous and has this air of refined luxury that is like something from out of a storybook. From the furnishings to just the little details of the house it’s a little masterpiece. Every window has a different amazing view of this lush, wild place. I highly recommend staying here.Laura M
The Mill is a special place to spend time. It is comfortable and luxurious, the kitchen is very well-equipped, Megan and Sean and their family are ready to help you with anything you need, or suggest places to see. We could order food delivered weekly or catch the fish monger on his way by on a Thursday for fresh fish.
It is very close to Glenlivet and many stops along the whiskey trail. It is within the Cairngorm’s national Park so outdoor adventuring was easy. There are also many walking trails just outside the house. We took day trips to tons of towns all around including Findhorn, Elgin, Aberlour, Inverness, Aberdeen, and always looked forward to coming “home”.Jennifer B
Thank you for a fabulous holiday in The Mill. It had everything we could have wished for. From the warm welcome and delicious home baking to the exceptionally comfy beds and sofas. The mill is beautifully restored and feels very homely. The kitchen has everything we could possibly have needed and we loved the log burning stove and peaceful views. We did several walks of varying lengths and off road cycles from the door. The Glenlivet Bike Trails were definitely worth a visit too. We enjoyed Tomintoul, the little gallery is lovely and we were lucky enough to catch the Games. We didn’t venture far this trip but have had great days out to various distilleries, castles and coasts previously. We can recommend the Scottish Dolphin Centre at Spey Bay and the Peregrine viewing near Huntly is worth the short walk.Thank you Sean and Megan, we’ll be back soon!Debbie K
