Auchnascraw Mill is surrounded by farmland and hills so there is always something new to see.
From every window you can enjoy the beautiful views. Enjoy spotting wildlife such as roe deer,
hares, stoats, pheasants, lapwings, oystercatchers, curlews, many garden birds and maybe
even an elusive hedgehog if you are out stargazing. Feel the joy of watching the antics of the
wee lambs in the spring. Feel true relaxation in the comfort of the mill and watch the
ever-changing weather and dramatic skies. Located within the Tomintoul and Glenlivet
Cairngorms Dark Sky Park, the mill is the perfect place to observe the night sky. The stars,
constellations and Milky Way are absolutely amazing to see on a clear night, from late August
until early April. You may even be lucky enough to experience the Aurora Borealis or Northern
Lights above the hills looking north towards Ben Rinnes. The nights are so quiet and peaceful .
