It was absolutely lovely in the decor, layout, and how well provisioned it was for our stay. The house was immaculate and very thoughtfully supplied with a fire ready to light, cozy blankets, coffee, books, and games for our family. We loved meeting Megan and Sean and they made excellent recommendations for outings, food, and where to find specific things our family was hoping to see. They were amazing hosts and we were sad to leave after 3 days!

While inside the Mill we enjoyed watching the farmers collect their hay and move their sheep and cattle around. Those big French doors face the paddock and offered a peaceful and engaging scene every day.
But thanks to Sean's directions and local wisdom we spent a lot of time outside, walking in the 'neighborhood,' exploring the Ladder Hills, and getting to know this beautiful corner of Scotland. The hiking was spectacular, rain or shine.
I cannot recommend this place enough. Take advantage of the hospitality of Sean and Megan. and stay for as long as your schedule allows. You will not regret it.

  We had a wonderful winter weekend away at the Mill - a lovingly renovated building in a beautiful setting with 360 views. Megan and Sean were great hosts and made... read more us feel very at home. They were very accommodating with our last minute booking and went out of their way with extras for our nearly toddler. They were really flexible with check in and check out timings too which meant we could make the most of our weekend. We enjoyed exploring the local area on our cross country skis! And we had a great Thai meal at the nearby Croft Inn on Sean and Megans recommendation. In the evenings we stayed cosy by the fire - plenty of books and games to keep us entertained. Will definitely be back!
